Ashen: Aurora44's Game of Beauty in a Sunless World

     The last time I saw Ashen was in July last year, so this was a pleasant surprise for the announcements at E3 2015 Microsoft press conference.  Developer Aurora44 unveiled that the game would be coming to Xbox One as an exclusive.

     Ashen features a bleak world where players must carefully choose who to trust in their journeys.  The grey landscape is harsh and their are many dangers to encounter, and potential enemies could lure you in to your doom, or lead you to hope and survival.

THIS IS THE TALE OF A BYGONE WORLD. 

CHOOSE A PATH AND HOLD ON TO THOSE YOU TRUST. 

Ashen is a 3rd person, action RPG about forging relationships. 

Players can choose to guide those they trust to their camp, encouraging them to rest at the fire and perhaps remain. 

Together, you might just stand a chance.

     The game looks amazing and the concept behind it's multiplayer is outstanding.  Ashen looks to be a tremendous and stylized game combining elements of Dark Souls, Super Bros. Sword and Sworcery EP, and Journey into a new form of survival adventure.
